About Everything Fred Tells Me is True

Philip is a man with a troubled future, or so his dreams keep telling him. A mystery nags at him while he sleeps. That man Fred, who appears in his dreams, has the key -- or so Philip's intrusive friend Tracy insists. He wakes with an urgency to draw out details that seem to be coming true. Could these dreams be warning him that his life is in danger? Tracy says the dreams predict he is destined to find fortune and to have lots of lovers -- or is it one woman in particular? It's come to the point where Philip doesn't know what to think anymore. As the dreams unfold, Tracy starts to worry that Philip could have been right from the start.

Whether life will bring impending doom, romance or riches, Philip remains unsure. He is a prognosticator of the everyday, or more specifically, his own everyday. Yet perhaps nothing is as it seems. Through it all, he just might find a way to solve these dream clues, while finding a woman who actually loves him, as well as live long enough to enjoy it.

This feature project for the independent film company 'Words Pictures Movies' titled: Everything Fred Tells Me Is True, is a 90-minute dark comedy about a young man who believes his dreams predict the future. What follows is the comic tension that comes from relationships thrown into absurd situations, with some of Philip's friends scheming to push him one way or another in the ensuing confusion. There are elements of the surreal in the dream sequences that counterpoint the realism of the character's day-to-day lives.

Philip is joined by Christine, a sad but beautiful potential love interest; Tracy, a scheming sidekick with devices of her own; Devon, the guy who's too old for the room; Drew, a misguided young man seeking direction; Amanda, a misguided young woman seeking love; and the mysterious Fred, who never speaks.
